Hello everyone

Spring has sprung!

We have managed to find time to promote some of the ambient products for your kitchen cupboards, (a hardy feat in itself) so make sure you check the Offers, New and Seasonal page to find some discounts.

Here is the update on what we are expecting with the fresh produce (commencing 16th April)

The usual fair with roots – Potatoes, Carrots, Onions, Beetroot and Jerusalem Artichokes, with the new arrival of flavoursome Jersey Royal New Potatoes

Hard to find leafy greens at this time of year, but we have managed to source some Spinach and Rainbow Chard, and the first crop of Spring Greens

We have Purple Sprouting Broccoli, there is Green Broccoli and Cauliflower with Flat Beans, French Beans and Peas, with Asparagus making its first appearance for the Spring

The usual salad items, with the first crop of Isle Of Wight Cherry and Vine Tomatoes, first Uk grown Cucumbers too, Avocado, Peppers and Lettuce, with Rocket and Radishes in for this week

Lots of Aubergines, Courgettes and Fennel, ideal for roasting with Red Onions

And there are plenty of fresh spices, Garlic, Ginger and Turmeric with Red Chillies and Green Jalapeno Chillies, and we have a new crop of fresh “wet” Garlic which is picked before it is able to split into bulbs, versatile for all sorts of ideas, great for a salad

English Apples are all gone now til the autumn, this week we have Gala and Ida Red from Italy, with new season Red Bartlett and Anjou Pears from Argentina

The citrus season is in full swing, with lots of Blood Oranges, Oranges, Clementines, Lemons and Kumquats.

Fresh Blueberries, Strawberries and Raspberries are on show also, Medjool Dates are back after a short hiatus and Rhubarb has started now too, and there may be even be some Nectarines available too, we are spoiling you!
